Biography

Meeni grew up on Yellowstone Blvd. in Queens two blocks away from Rock and Roll High School. She has lived in a variety of different places including, Vienna, Austria, Karachi, Pakistan and Quito, Ecuador. Meeni returned to Queens after spending a few years living and working in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, where she began her performing arts career.

In her travels Meeni has found that there are many different worlds on this planet, and that there are many ways of living. She has seen how one country’s policies and actions affect another’s and how ignorant many people are to this interrelatedness. It is her desire to change the world through her work in the performing arts, by changing people’s minds - even just a little bit.

Meeni loves to dance, travel and learn new cultures. Capoeira, singing and getting her motorcycle license are on Meeni’s agenda for 2007. In the cold winter weather she enjoys staying home and watching movies, knitting and drinking hot chocolate.
